Stripe finalized an agreement to acquire OpenRouter.
The price is more than $7 billion.

OpenRouter raised a $113 million Series B in May at a reported $1.3 billion valuation. The company gives developers one API key for access to more than 400 AI models.

The Wall Street Journal reported last month that the two were in talks at around $10 billion. Stripe said it does not comment on rumors or speculation.

They pay for the position. Eight million developers on one side, every frontier lab on the other, and a company that already runs the billing for the apps sitting on top.
