OpenAI released an updated GPT-Rosalind.
It's a specific model for life sciences research, first launched in April.

The update outperforms GPT-5.5 across medicinal chemistry, genomics, and wet lab troubleshooting benchmarks while using fewer tokens on every task.

Alongside the model update, OpenAI launched Rosalind Biodefense, a separate program giving vetted developers and select U.S. government partners access to the model for pandemic preparedness and threat detection.

OpenAI just ran the Anthropic playbook, chapter and verse.
